Kamino Integrates Chainlink Data Streams for High-Quality, Low-Latency Market Data

We are excited to announce that Kamino has integrated Chainlink Data Streams into its oracle infrastructure—marking a huge milestone in our mission to ensure protocol robustness, increase data reliability, and reduce user risk on Kamino.

Alongside this integration, we are introducing a significant upgrade to Kamino’s oracle infrastructure, a Multi-Price Oracle System. Developed in-house, this oracle architecture pulls data from multiple providers, such as Chainlink,to ensure fresh, accurate, and resilient pricing at all times.

Below, we break down the process of integrating Chainlink, and also how Multi-Price Oracles work:

Strengthening Kamino’s Oracle Infra with Chainlink

Kamino’s protocol safety requires a holistic/systematic approach that extends to every level of our tech stack.

We are determined to introduce robustness and remove single points of failure at every level—and the Chainlink integration adds a significant measure of robustness to Kamino’s oracle infrastructure.

Chainlink data streams have been running on Kamino’s mainnet testing environment for numerous weeks prior to integration, enabling us to monitor its performance against Kamino’s existing price feeds.

This testing period demonstrated consistently strong results, giving us the confidence to move forward with a full integration.

Alongside the integration of Chainlink data streams, we’re introducing a new oracle infrastructure to Kamino:

Introducing Kamino’s Multi-Price Oracle System

Alongside the integration of Chainlink, Kamino is introducing a Multi-Price Oracle System:

This system aggregates pricing from various high-quality oracle sources, such as Chainlink, continuously checking them against each other in real time. A multi-price system allows Kamino to:

  • Eliminate reliance on any single data provider
  • Dynamically choose the freshest prices
  • Add self-healing properties to oracles in the case of downtime or deviation

Prior to launch, this upgrade has been double-audited by Certora and Offside Labs.

Moving Forward

The introduction of Chainlink data streams and our Multi-Price System significantly raises the bar for oracle resilience across our platform and Solana. These upgrades reduce risk, improve oracle performance, and provide stronger guarantees to Kamino’s users.

We’re excited to have Chainlink onboarded.

“As the largest lending protocol on Solana, Kamino needs the most reliable oracle infrastructure to provide strong assurances to users over asset pricing. We’re thrilled to be working with Kamino on bolstering the security and reliability of Kamino markets through the integration of the Chainlink standard.” —Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs
