Allez Labs, a research lab specializing in strategy, data science and risk management, is now contributing to Kamino. Allez will be working closely with Kamino on risk management and product strategy as the protocol scales with Kamino Lend V2.
Consisting of a group of DeFi veterans, the Allez team has extensive experience contributing to industry leaders like Aave and Blockanalitica, and will play an integral part in Kamino’s growth as a risk and product leader in DeFi.

How Allez Will Contribute
Allez brings significant expertise in DeFi risk modeling and risk management. The team will be working closely with Kamino’s Risk Council to ensure the protocol retains its robustness as it evolves into a versatile, modular lending layer via Kamino Lend V2.
Although the vision is for Kamino to aggressively scale with the V2 infrastructure, protocol resilience and user safety will remain absolutely paramount. In line with this approach, all new markets and vaults launched in V2 will continue to be closely monitored and managed by risk contributors and of course the Risk Council itself.
Market Risk and Data
Allez will be a key contributor to risk management for V2 markets, and will be performing continuous risk assessments and scenario modelling on existing, as well as potential new markets. Allez will also be building out extensive internal data structures for Kamino, which will be invaluable in tracking protocol health, as well as protocol growth.
Vault Management
Significantly, Allez will also manage their own V2 vaults. They will be tailoring a variety of vaults to deliver risk-adjusted yields to distinctive risk-profiles; from conservative to aggressive risk profiles, and stable to volatile strategies. Allez vaults will be fully permissionless for users to deploy into.
Scaling Kamino With V2
Introduced in early September, Kamino Lend V2 is designed to scale Kamino as a foundational layer for finance on Solana. V2 introduces two new primitives to the protocol, both of which will enable rapid growth, as well as increasing decentralization:
- Market Layer: Open-source infrastructure for permissionless market deployment
- Vault Layer: A yield primitive that automatically aggregates liquidity across markets
With the introduction of these new primitives, Kamino Lend V2 can facilitate a vast range of new and exciting use-cases. This is immensely exciting, but also means that the protocol’s risk practices need to scale in parallel to the growth of both the Market and Vault Layers.
Significant upgrades to the Risk and Liquidation Engine will be introduced in V2, all of which can be explored in the V2 Litepaper. However, the protocol’s risk management will also benefit immensely from the onboarding of risk experts such as Allez.
Allez will not only play an important part in the management of protocol risk, but will also make significant contributions in scaling the V2 Vault Layer, with the goal of cultivating new, risk-adjusted yield opportunities for users.
We look forward to working with Allez to fuel Kamino’s growth.
